An innovator within the transportation industry, Perry Mandera serves as the president of Chicago-based The Custom Companies, Inc., a company he founded more than 30 years ago. Further, Perry Mandera is a member of the Illinois Trucking Association (ITA), which named him one of the top 100 transportation executives of the millennium.

Established in 1930, the ITA is a nonprofit trade association that initially aimed to protect the interests of the trucking and transportation industries throughout Illinois. Overseen by some of the state’s leading trucking companies, the ITA has expanded to the point where it encompasses 37,000 companies in the United States.
To further the aims of its member companies, the ITA advocates on issues of public policy and articulates the key concerns of its members to regulatory bodies and government agencies, in addition to the public.
Further, the ITA offers educational resources and training that set a standard within the trucking industry while promoting a safe and cost-effective system of transportation.
